"We need to make sure that we stand out," Miku said. You were on the train ride to Luka's place.
"We need to change. Mix it up. That's what Treble Clef does," Luka said.
"Slightly different costumes, maybe a different, less happy-go-lucky song. Maybe the music could be a bit less bouncy," Kaito suggested.
"Easier said than done," you said. "Our whole idea was that we were following our dreams. Reaching for our goal of being idols, after being split up. What do we do now?"
"Well, Len x ____ is pretty popular. Kaito and Miku are getting a bit suspicious, and we all know that Luka and Gakupo are meant to be-" Rin started.
"Hey!" Everyone but Gumi, Rin, and Meiko exclaimed.
"It's only the truth. But since we're in high school and the whole dating thing is big in high school, we can focus on the romance aspect of our lives," Rin continued.
           "That's brilliant!" Miku squealed.
"I did make it up, after all," Rin smiled, laughing happily.
"Nothing too sweet. Make it a bit sexy too," Gakupo said.
"Of course you said that," Luka sighed.
That was what ran through your head. It had been going through your head for ages. You had to make a statement
.

The Live. Twenty idols or idol groups. An outside ampetheater, the largest in the country. A towering banner hung from the cover that hung over the stage. Large bubble letters faded from pink to blue. The I had a star instead of a dot. A trailer was set in the back for Vocaloid. Right next to Treble Clef.
Treble Clef, as the first idol group, came out before you entered the cabin. The had frilly layered skirts of black. A pink sash hung around it. With yellow and white flowers clustered on the sash. The tops were buttoned together with yellow buttons on black fabric. Berets perched in their loose hair. Thigh high socks were pulled up with black boots. They were fairly sexy outfits. Not really your style.
They gave you a slight smile, full of intimidation. You smiled back sweetly and opened the camper van door.
"I should take a moment to properly explain the outfits," Gumi smiled hesitantly.

Your outfits were much different from Treble Clef's. The audience would see the gorgeous groups, then, they would see your outfits. The long skirt touched the floor. It was loose and black, with an elastic waist band. The white bodice slightly sparkled. The black pull-over was open in the front. It was, like the skirt, baggy. Your hair was in a braided bun. Hardly impressive. You were barefoot.
"So you all know what to do? I made it a light fabric with little tensil stregnth, so it should work," Gumi said. She and the rest of the girls were in the same dull outfit. The boys had crisp white pants and a loose black sweater, made of the same material.
You warmed up quickly, before going out to the stage.
People looked at you strangely. The other costumes had looked so good. What happened with the baggy black fabric?
"Last, but not least is the school idol group Vocaloid, featuring Luka Megurine, Gakupo Kamui, Meiko Sakine, Gumi Megpoid, Kaito Shion, Miku Hatsune, Rin Kagamine, Len Kagamine, and ____ _____," someone announced. You weren't greeted with as many claps or cheers as whispers.
"Boarding the bus in the early morning hours
My fingers gently shake from the cold
And the thought that rush through my mind are memories of you," Rin, Miku and you sung. You were the first group to face the audience.
"I write your name on the chilled window
My finger cutting through the frost," Kaito, Len, and Gakupo sung, as the second group.
"Every last bit of me wants to be more
To look beautiful in your eyes," Gumi, Meiko, and Luka sang, the third group.
And you'd black outfits dissapeared, revealing your true colours. The girls wore tube top dresses that flowed like rivers, shear, delitace, and sparkling. They reached to the half way point of your thighs, and had soft pleats in the skirt. The top and bottom of the dress was rimmed in gold. The skirt was a bright colour, of everyone's respective colour. The boys had white pants and shirts with the same colour scheme of the dresses. All rimmed in gold. You, however, had a special touch. Gold bands were on your upper arm (just above your biceps) and wrists, with intricate golds spirals in the cuffs. A delicate, navy blue, semi transparent gauze hanging between the cuffs. Like a Greek noble woman. And your hair was let loose. The braid swinging beside you. Everyone's outfits fit like a glove.
"I start to feel pale and transparent
When I stand by you as a friend
My heart continues to throb in my chest
It's a secret I want to keep to myself
If love were requited, my world would become coloured
Even if we are just friends, I still love you
I can't hide it; I can't forget it
I lean against the window and hide my secret," Vocalod sung. It was a bit more tragic. Beautiful, a bit more tragic, and more graceful than the other songs. You couldn't tell if the audience love it or hated it. It was graceful, and the melody was smooth and less bouncy.
"Eyes trail to you when I pass you in the halls
I turn away before you see
The tears that started to make their way down my cheeks," group three sung.
"What's the precise thing about you that makes me stare?
Your kindness, your eyes, your beauty's captivating," the boys sang.
"When the other girls flash you a flirtatious smile
My world fades back into black and white," you sung with your two friends.
"I want to believe that we'll be together someday
That the chemistry that makes lovers will join us together
It's my selfish wish, a painful desire
One that I don't want others to find out
I dreamt one day we could have our fingers intertwined
I know it's selfish, foolish, I'm sorry
I'll keep the secret deep in my heart," Vocaloid sung. Then you did something different that anyone else had ever done. The two tallest Vocaloids, Gakupo and Kaito, had you in a chair lift. You were easily six feet above the ground. You felt pretty tall, compared to the others who were on the ground, on their knees.
"I still remember that sun filled day
Time when we met for the very first time
I've loved you from the very start," you sung, the flowy gauze linked to your arms looking very elegant on your slender arms. You were lowered down, jumping delicately to the ground, like the light-footed elves from Lord of the Rings.
"When was it that I first realized I loved you?" Len sung, standing up when Gakupo and Kaito knelt to the ground.
"When did I dream of us together?" You sang, beautiful voice heard by everyone.
"And now my world has been brought into colour."
"You turned my monochrome world on it's head
And every colour stands out vividly
All I want is to be in your tender embrace," you and Len sung. And you kissed. You kissed Len Kagamine in front of hundreds of people, his hands on your cheeks. The others stood up slowly, as the instrumental music played.
"I start to feel pale and transparent
When I stand by you as a friend
My heart continues to throb in my chest
It's a secret I want to keep to myself
If love were requited, my world would become coloured
Even if we are just friends, I still love you
I can't hide it; I can't forget it
I lean against the window and hide my secret."

The ending pose was faded into as the music ended softly. You and Len were in the centre, giving the audience a profile view. Len's hands were on your waist, and yours by his face. You were in a semi circle. On Len's side there was Meiko, Kaito, Gumi, and Miku. On your side, there was Gakupo, Luka, and Rin.
Judging by the applause, it was a success. The other groups were invited out to the stage. Each person attending had something like a tablet (but much less techy and versatile) that they voted with. The results were determined in the first give minutes.
There was a tension in the air. Everyone in Vocaloid was holding hands. You were between Len and Rin. Treble Clef looked almost, worried?
"In fifth place, we have Uta," a voice off to the side announced. Two boys and two girls went to the side of the podium.
"Fourth is GiGi," three girls in black, red, and gold sparkly outfits went up, smiling at each other.
"In third, is Black Lily." A boy and girl in gothic style clothing went to the smallest pedestal.
"Second place is taken by Treble Clef."
Shocked faces and sharp gasps were seen and heard. After two years of being the top idol, they were in second place.
"Hush hush. In first place... VOCALOID!!!"
Deafening shouts were heard. You piled into a massive group hug before staggering up to the podium. It was hard to not fall off. You were passed the giant perpetual trophy. You and Len hoisted it in the air. You were beaming at eachother.
The trophies was passed on, so everyone held it.
"Now kiss!" Meiko shouted, and she, being the closest, shoved you into Len. Not like you cared about everyone watching. You melted into his embrace, savouring the sweet lips.
This was very different than the year you expected back in September. Back before Vocaloid, back before Len, back before school idols. Screw it, this was much better.
This is the last chapter! I'm starting on a new one now. I can tell you that it will be quite different, but still fluff and LenxReader. I hope you enjoyed reading, and, when I've finished the first update, please look for Milady - Len Kagamine x reader. I hope you read it.
