Talented: Len Kagamine x Reader - part 6

        You were busy practicing in your room on Saturday when your phone buzzed. It was Len. You picked it up, scanning the text message.

        Hey ____. A few of us are going to hang out this afternoon. Wanna come?

        You texted back immediately.

        Count me in!

        A response came soon after.

        You looked down at your outfit. Sweatpants, mismatched socks, and an old t-shirt. You decided to change. It was late September. Not quite warm enough to wear a skirt, not cold enough for a warm knit sweater. You flipped through your closet. You picked out your favourite pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a (f.c.) and grey stripped tank top, and a black cardigan. You did your hair up in a loose bun. You looked casually and cute. That paired with your silver Mary Janes, you'd look fabulous.

        Len nocked on your door an hour later. You rushed towards the door. Len had on a loose pair of jeans and a yellow hoodie. He looked casual and was still hot.

        "Hey ____. Ready to go?" He asked.

        "Yup," you said, grabbing your purse.

        In the mini van that Luka drove (trying to act inconspicuous), there was Gakupo, Miku, Kaito, and Rin. Luka and Gakupo were in the front, Kaito and Miku were behind them, and you sat between Rin and Len in the back. You were going to decide what movie you'd watch when you got there. 

        "Anywhere in particular you want to go after the movie?" Luka asked.

        "Ice cream!" Kaito said.

        "Other than that," Luka said.

        "What about we go do some karaoke after dinner?" Len suggested.

        Miku and Rin loved the idea, so that meant that you were going.

        You mentally questioned why you were chosen to go. You knew that Luka and Gakupo might have a thing. Miku and Kaito were officially unofficially dating, and the Kagamine twins, were, well, the Kagamine twins. Why you?

        You decided to go see an action movie. It was The Hobbit. Most of the seats were full, so you split up between the aisles on the side, two and two. Luka and Gakupo sat together, Miku and Kaito, and, as Rin insisted, you and Len. You were sharing a popcorn, and Rin, who was sitting in front of you, was tackling a medium popcorn bag herself.

        As the movie started, the lights dimmed. You could see Len beside you, hidden in partial darkness. You got a handful of overly-buttered popcorn from the paper bag. You were glad for the dimmed lights as your hand brushed Len's. Just for a split second, your hand didn't move, and neither did Len's. Your hand stayed there for a second, fingers partially entertained between the blond haired boy's. Then, when you believed that your face was the same colour of a tomato, you grabbed a handful of popcorn.

        You met the others out of the theatre, in the entrance. You noticed that Miku was holding hands with Kaito, and Luka's pink lipgloss had faded a fair bit. 

        "Where do you want to go for dinner?" Rin asked.

        "Nothing too fancy," you said.

        "What about a 70s diner? They'll have ice cream there too," Miku said.

        Kaito cheered in agreement.

        The diner was only five minutes away by car. You sat between the Kagamine twins again. Luka, Gakupo, Kaito, and Miku were squished into the opposite booth.

        "What are you getting, ____?" Len asked, looking up at you from the menu.

        "Um, I think I'll get the pasta or the chicken," you said.

        "I'll get the chicken. You can try a bite, if you want," Len said.

        "Uh, sure," you said.

        You got your orders about fifteen minutes later.

        "Here, ____," Len said, passing you a piece of the grilled chicken. You took a bite.

        "Do you want some of my pasta?" You asked, offering him the bowl.

        "Thanks," Len said, taking a forkful.

        You saw several of the other Vocaloids eyeing you and Len over the course of the meal.

        You finished off the meal with some ice cream. You had the (f.i-c.). Len, predictably, had a banana split. Rin had orange sherbet, Luka had chocolate, Gakupo had vanilla, Kaito had everything, and Miku had leek. They carried leek flavoured ice cream upon request after Miku went on a leek-slapping rampage.

        "Do you want to try some, ____?" Len asked you.

        "Sure," you agreed.

        Len shoved a spoonful of the dessert into your mouth, catching you by surprise. And it was his spoon. You had read enough shojo manga to know that was an indirect kiss. He stole some of your ice cream too. Off your spoon, you hoped that your cheeks weren't too red. Rin eyes you with a mischievous and evil look.

        The rest of the evening passed well. The karaoke went on until 9pm or so. Your voice was a bit hoarse after you had finished singing. Len dropped you off at your door.

        "I had a good time, ____," Len said, as he walked you to your door.

        "Me too," you said.

        Before you reached the doorknob, Len leant over, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek. You felt your cheeks burn. You went into your house and just laid down on your bed, mind racing. What was that supposed to be about? Your inner fangirl was going crazy, burying your sensible side.

        Your phone buzzed.

        Rin: Hey ____, did you enjoy your triple date?

        You: What?!

        Rin: Y'know, when three couples go on a group date.

        You: Then if it was, why were you there?

        Rin: I was just there to make sure Len didn't screw things up with you.

        You: WHAT THE HELL??!!!

        Rin: I wanted to make sure you and Len didn't act all awkward.

        You: WHAT??!!!

        Rin: Well, I knew that Gakupo would be trying to act all coupley with Luka, and Miku and Kaito might have some romance, so I had to make sure that you and Len treated it like a date.

        You: It wasn't a date!

        Rin: Oh yes it was. Kaito and Gakupo were going with Miku and Luka, then they asked Len if he wanted to bring someone, and I made sure that you two went.

        You: Evil things go on inside that little blond head of yours.

        Rin: You're welcome.

        Your inner fangirl loved Rin, but the other side was turning from Bruce Banner into the Hulk. (A.N. I love the Avengers too, to pile on to the geekiness)

        You played some music in attempt to calm your inner fangirl with Last Night, Good Night before drifting off.
