Literature Text

As soon as you settled in your hotel room late at night, you whipped out your cell phone, ready to text Len. Your inner fangirl was going nuts. You didn't know what to say. After ten minutes, you sent the message.
Hi Len. It's ____. We met on the plane.
You told yourself to stay cool and collected, but no matter how composed you might look in the best of times, you were freaking out.
You got a response 10 seconds later, to your insane joy.
Hey! I was wondering if you wanted to meet the other Vocaloids. Should we meet you, or do you want to come over?
Uh, I don't have a place to stay yet, so I doubt you want to come over to my hotel room. You typed that awkwardly.
Okay. We can come pick you up. How about 11am on Saturday?
         Sounds good! :)
You collapsed in to bed, exhausted. You had three days to get over the jet lag. And maybe some sightseeing and shopping.

On Saturday morning, you went down to the lobby of the hotel to get breakfast and went  upstairs to wash up. After a warm shower, you put on an outfit you bought two days ago. It was layered tank tops - black over white, a denim mini skirt, and knee length black leggings. Paired with your favourite sneakers, you felt pretty awesome. You did your hair in a high ponytail, bangs falling loose. You brushed a lock of hair out of your was before running downstairs.
You saw your ride as soon as the shiny black car pulled up. The door opened, and you nervously entered.
        "Miss ____?" The driver verified.
        "Yeah," you said, hesitantly.
The driver started the car as you buckled your seatbelt.
In about fifteen minutes you were pulling up to a large, fancy house. You got out and made your was to the door of the house. You knocked hesitantly, rapping on the polished wooden door. There was a cacophony of noise from the other side of the door. Footsteps, yells, war cries, and breaking glass was heard from inside the mansion. Finally, you were greeted by a singer with long teal hair, who was brandishing her trademark leek.
"Who are you?" She said, holding her leek in a battle stance, as if you were an intruder.
"Is that ____?" You heard Len call, as his footsteps came from upstairs.
"Len, who are you talking about?" Miku asked.
"I told you ____ was coming, but maybe I was drowned out by the sounds of Rin running over Kaito in the road roller, you leek slapping everyone in sight, Luka storming around for tuna, Meiko's drunken antics, and Gumi making carrot juice," Len said.
You gave a nervous little laugh.
"____," Miku thought. "Not ringing a bell."
"The singer I met on the plane."
        "I'm not a-" you started.
"One round of karaoke," Miku said, pointing her leek at you.
        "Um, uh, okay," you stammered.
"Here, come on in ____," Len said, letting you inside the mansion. "I'm sorry about all of this."
"It's okay," you said. "It's only one round of karaoke. How bad can it be?"

It was actually quite bad. Their idea of karaoke was a raised platform with a full on sound system and chairs for an audience. It was like a middle school talent show set up.
You saw a lot of Vocaloids. There was Miku, Luka, Rin, Len, Kaito, Mriko, Gumi, Gakupo,  IA, Mayu, Teto, Lily, Neru, and Haku.
Len introduced you, then let you take the stage. Then, the music started for Weekender Girl. You chose it because it was the first song you thought of.
        "Underneath the glimmering strobe lights
The LEDs are flashing so bright
Hand in hand we’ll run where we choose
I’ll stumble anywhere if it’s with you
Ah

In my mind they will always stay
Those playful lines will never go away
They keep turning the hands of time
Though there’s no point I still let out a sigh

‘round and round they go…
….Now these boring days begin to flow
Again in this bright daydream
Lively colorful music fills me
It surrounds us all with this feeling, of what could be
So come on, raise your hands and reach
To the end of this rainbow that we seek
The weekend is so near I can’t wait ‘til it’s here
Because I am a
Weekender girl
Weekender girl

No matter how much time we watch and wait
The calendar will never turn its page
From my headphones to my fingertips
A racing beat starts can you feel it?

This habit of me and you
Each and everyday, I find something new,
I feel it now, trying to get out
Right there
Now we’re free and light as air

Again in this bright daydream
The lights are colorful and twinkling
They surround us all with this feeling, echoing inside
So come on, raise your hands and reach
To the end of this rainbow that we seek
The weekend is so near I can’t wait ‘til it’s here
Because I am a
Weekender girl
Weekender girl
Weekender girl," you sang, hitting every note.
Apparently you were well liked, judging by the raucous applause you got. You took an awkward bow and jumped off the stage.
"____, do you want anything to eat or drink?" Len asked you.
"A glass of water would be nice," you said, and followed Len out of the room, feeling that they were trying to talk about you in private.
You took a quick drink of water, as Len leaned against the counter. You didn't understand Len very much. There were songs like Out of Eden and Spice, then shota songs, like Toluthin Antenna. You wondered what he was really like, behind all of the seductive and shota songs. Then you realized that you were staring at him. You looked away quickly.
"____!" Rin yelled, as Vocaloids came up to you.
        "Yeah?" You asked.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Len shoot his sister a questioning look. She gave him a thumbs up and the banana-loving boy broke into a huge smile.
"Do you want to join us in our next concert?" Miku asked.
"You can stay here. If you need a place to stay," Len said,
"You sounded really good!" Gumi said.
"You have a good voice," Gakupo added.
"You had perfect pitch," Luka complimented.
"You sound so freaking amazing!" The hyperactive pink-haired singer yelled.
"You had good timing too," Kaito said.
"It wasn't bad," Neru said. That was a huge compliment from the tsundere queen.
"We have plenty of open rooms," IA said.
"I want to see what songs you'd write," Mayu said, looking innocent.
        "Pwetty pwease squishy?" Meiko begged.
"Please?" Haku said, adding to Meiko's begging.
Your mind was going a mile a minute. What should you say? Geez, why were you hesitating? Wasn't this your dream?
        "Yes," you said.
That was when your life changed.
The squishy returns! For anyone who hasn't read my previous works, Meiko calls you squishy in The A Class.
